North American Hardwoods
The hardwood forests of North America contain a wide range of temperate species that are sustainably harvested for lumber production. No other region in the world offers such a variety of colors and texture, consistently produced and graded under uniform grading standards. TYR Wood Products is proud to be a part of this industry.
Through our long-standing partnerships with sawmills and concentration yards, combined with a keen focus on service and trust, we have developed loyal customers on every continent. Whether it is a truckload of 4/4 Red Oak #1C going from Indiana to Michigan or Mexico, or a mixed 40′ container of multiple species and sizes shipping to Australia, TYR gets it done. For export shipments, our outstanding administrative staff makes sure all the proper documentation is in place for easy customs clearance at destination.
Hardwood Lumber is typically square-edged and graded according to NHLA standards. Customers with unique requirements can also specify proprietary grades and color sorts. Fixed widths and lengths may also be available. Thicknesses typically range from 4/4″ to 16/4″. We offer both kiln-dried (KD) and shipping-dry (SD) lumber.
